Westwood Veterinary Practice caters for all 'domestic pets' from Dwarf Hamsters to Great Danes and all 'large animals' including horses and farm livestock. The Boston Spa Surgery takes care of all the Horse and Farm Visits, as well as seeing Family Pets each day, where as the Garforth Surgery concentrates solely on Family Pets.
Consultations:-Both of our surgeries run a 'consultation by appointment' system whereby we can offer morning, lunch time/early afternoon and evening appointments with one of our vets, however if you have an emergency or urgent case we will accommodate you at anytime during the day or night.We also run late morning and afternoon appointments with our Veterinary Nurses for specialist nurse clinics, including: Weight clinics, Suture removal, 6 Month kitten and puppy health checks, Flea and worm checks, Nail clipping, Dietary advice, Dental check ups, Microchip implantation, 2nd Vaccinations and Insurance advice.If you require seeing a particular vet please mention this at the time of booking as our vets rotate between the two surgeries. Visits:-If you require a Horse or Farm visits please telephone Boston Spa and a convenient time will be scheduled.Clinics:-Osteo-arthritis and Golden Oldie clinics are run daily by appointment with a Veterinary Surgeon. If you would like more information on the puppy class or any of the nurse clinics please telephone Boston Spa.We have also recently set up a weekly 'puppy class', which is run by Emma, one of our nurses. This class is held at the Boston Spa surgery every Tuesday evening from 6:15pm to 7:00pm. Puppies from both surgeries are more than welcome, the only criteria required is that any puppies attending must have had the 1st part of their vaccination course.
Facilities:-
Both of our surgeries are fully computerized for recording your pets treatment history. You can attend either surgery at your convenience.
Whilst both surgeries have the equipment installed to enable us to perform operations, the Garforth surgery has facilities to only cater for 'day patients' and more routine types of procedure, however the Boston Spa surgery has the facilities to hospitalize patients for any period of time and carry out a greater range of procedures.
Boston Spa also carries equipment to enable us to carry out more specialist procedures and investigations, such as digital x-ray, ultrasound scanning and orthopaedic operations
Prescriptions and Diets:-
Whilst we always try to keep a good stock of drug and food supplies, we ask that you give us a minimum of 24hours notice when you telephone to request items so that we can make sure we have it in stock and made ready for when you call in to collect it.
We stock a full range of cat and dog diets made by Royal Canin, we always have the smaller bags on sale in our waiting room, if however you require a larger sized bag again we will need 24hours notice in order to get it from our suppliers.
Deliveries and Collections:- We can also offer a collection/delivery service, for animals only, by prior arrangement. Please be advised that there will be a charge for these services.Please be advised that the practice now owns a van. If you would like us to deliver any food, etc then please contact the surgery for more details.
